pimento cheese Caramelised Onion Dip

Take your appetiser spread from meh to a hell yeah with this BAKED HOMEWRECKER CARAMELISED ONION DIP.

Minimal effort, maximum flavour.

You want the recipe? Sure thing, sugar…

Ingredients

  • 3 red onions

  • 1 tsp balsamic vinegar

  • 1 tbsp brown sugar

  • 200g Homewrecker

  • 50g mayo

  • 50g sour cream

  • Fresh parsley, to garnish

  • Toasted sourdough, to serve

    Method

  1. Slice up those red onions and toss ‘em in a pan with a little oil. Cook low and slow for 30 mins until they’re soft and jammy.

  2. Stir in the balsamic and brown sugar, and cook for another 5 mins until they’re properly caramelised and sticky.

  3. In a bowl, mix together the Homewrecker, mayo and sour cream. Add in the onions and combine (It won’t look cute yet but trust the process.)

  4. Spoon into a baking dish and bake at 200 for 15 mins until hot, golden, and bubbling.

  5. Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve with toasted sourdough. Or just grab a spoon and go rogue.

Warning: May cause dip fights at the table.
